R. Louis "Lou" Elliott is the President of Elliott Associates, and for more than 30 years has been managing, leasing, developing, buying and selling a variety of retail, office, and industrial properties throughout the Western States. He has become a knowledgeable and well-respected advisor to many clients and colleagues.

Lou grew up on a farm in Tennessee, attended Warren Wilson College in North Carolina, and received a Bachelor of Business Administration and Economics from Chapman College in California. After two years in the Peace Corps in Northeast Brazil, Lou gained further experience in the social services industry as a VISTA volunteer, and the director of the CETA program in Lane County, Oregon.

He began work in the real estate industry in 1976 and became an Oregon Real Estate Broker in 1983. His current business associates affiliations include the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Portland Business Alliance, and he is currently pursuing a CCIM designation. He has served on a numerous community and real estate advisory committees over the last 30 years. He is also a founding partner and Broker at Commercial Realty Advisors, Northwest, LLC. in Portland, Oregon.

Lou and his wife & business partner of 39 years, Moe, have a family at the office and another one at home. They have three children, Jordan, Lissa and Michel, countless nieces and nephews, a large extended family and many friends. They're famous for their dinner parties where the food, wine and conversation are always lively and entertaining. When Lou isn't working, he enjoys traveling and cycling. He's ridden in Cycle Oregon fifteen times and has only crashed once.
