Cap started with Elliott Associates in 1997 as a Senior Property Manager and served as the director of operations, leasing, and construction for the Bill Naito Company. In 2005 EA was retained by the Bill Naito Company to provide asset management services for their portfolio of properties in the Portland Central Business District. In a period of three years, the value of the portfolio was doubled through aggressive leasing efforts, building a strong management team, and reorganization of the company's debt structure.

Cap brings a strong management capability to EA and is widely admired amongst staff for his smiling and compelling leadership style. Prior to joining Elliott Associates, Cap worked for 11 years as President and Director of Quantum Commercial, a management and brokerage company for commercial properties in the Portland metropolitan area. Before that, he served as President of Bowen Property Management, an apartment management firm located in Portland.

Cap is an active member in professional organizations including the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), the International Institute of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and the Certified Commercial Manager's Institute (CCMI). He was President Elect of the local IREM chapter and received the IREM Manager of the Year award. Cap's professional designations include; Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM®), Certified Property Manager (CPM®), Real Property Administrator (RPA), and he holds an active real estate broker's license in Oregon and Washington. Post-graduate coursework includes classes in the MBA program, a Master's degree in Urban Planning, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Portland State University.

Cap is married with two children. As a former amateur player, Cap follows soccer and football and enjoys playing the guitar and piano.
