Ground Breaking Ceremony Held at SANTA CLARA SQUARE For New 7,800 SF Commercial Pad

August, 2008 - On August 12 at 1:00 pm, contractors and owners alike will break ground on what is slated to be a 1.7 million dollar commercial real estate pad and development project in the city of Eugene at Santa Clara Square Retail Center.  The ceremony will kick-off a project that is scheduled to house two tenants, Sleep Country USA and Pacific Cascade Federal Credit Union, and will add to the already existing, established center of over 100,000 square feet with tenants including Albertsons, Office Max and Shari's restaurant.
The event will commence with golden shovels breaking ground on the 7,800 square foot pad, located on the corner of Division Avenue and River Road just North of Eugene's Beltline Highway.  Construction is estimated to take 20 weeks and will be spearheaded by S. D. Deacon, a Portland based general contracting firm.  Representatives from Santa Clara Square's ownership entities, Cornell, LLC and Santa Clara Square, LLC, will be on hand to take part in the event.  Elliott Associates, Inc. is the current property management company for the retail center and will represent the owners on the project as the construction manager.
