ELLIOTT ASSOCIATES, INC. Makes 100 Best List
March, 2009 - It's four o'clock on Friday afternoon. The bright orange coo-coo clock signals the hour, sending the resident office mutt, Chubbers, into a frenzy of barks. A shuffle board game wraps in the lunchroom and the keg has been tapped. Just a typical day at Elliott Associates, Inc., but of course, and most importantly, there's also the work.Elliott Associates, Inc. was born over thirty years ago as the property management dream child of Lou and Moe Elliott and began its operations from a small dank office. Today, the company has grown to include over thirty employees, who, together, manage over 85 properties totaling over four million square feet of managed space, as well as comprehensive leasing and investment services. The new digs aren't that bad either.
At EAI headquarters in the former Copeland Lumber Building, the walls are flanked with the company's mottos, "we are who we are, intentionally" and "large of small, it matter," as constant reminders that they don't operate like very other commercial real estate firm. EAI relies on its best practices and the importance of its team community to get through the bumps in the road. The resulting employee confidence and satisfaction speak for themselves. People outside the EAI family are starting to take notice too.
This month, Elliott Associates, Inc. was neamed one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon by Oregon Business magazine. The rankings were based on confidential employee surveys and a benefits report completed by each company. Employees ranked their satisfaction in areas such as: benefits and compensation, work environment, decision making and trust, performance management and career development. EAI is new to the list and was the only small commercial real estate company to make the 100 Best. As the company continues to make strides, Elliott Associates, Inc. will no doubt be one to watch in the future.
