October, 2008 - Todd Amacher recently joined Elliott Associates, Inc. as a leasing broker, bringing with him extensive experience and background in both the management and leasing of investment properties. Amacher, a licensed broker since 1985, has worked with a variety of clients, including Willamette Dental Group, Mortgage Market, US Bank, Bajio Mexican Grill, Muchas Gracias, Ultimate Tan, and Islan's Tanning. October, 2008 - Recently, contractors broke ground on what is slated to be a 2.7 million dollar commercial real estate redevelopment project for Twin City Shopping Center, a 135,426 square foot retail center located at 700 Ocean Beach Highway, in Longview, WA. The project, estimated to be completed early summer, 2009, will house three tenants in the updated 57,490 square foot space and will replace Sinnett's Grocery Store.

August, 2008 - The Portland Office of Sustainable Development honored Elliott Associates with the distinguished G-rated award for the green practices used during the renovation of Elliott Associates' Copeland building. Elliott Associates created a high performance workspace that is not only respectful of the environment, but is efficient and cost effective too. G-rated improvements can result in lower operating costs and improved worker health and productivity. This means employees are more comfortable and healthier, energy is used more efficiently and space is better utilized. Last year, the Office of Sustainable Development handed out only seven of these illustrious plaques to area businesses, making Elliott Associates pretty special! The award is also sustainable, made from recycled bicycle parts.

August, 2008 - On August 12 at 1:00 pm, contractors and owners alike will break ground on what is slated to be a 1.7 million dollar commercial real estate pad and development project in the city of Eugene at Santa Clara Square Retail Center. The ceremony will kick-off a project that is scheduled to house two tenants, Sleep Country USA, and Pacific Cascade Federal Credit Union, and will add to the already existing, established center of over 100,000 square feet with tenants including Albertsons, Office Max, and Shari's restaurant.

August, 2008 - Ann Martin, formerly in residential real estate sales, recently joined Elliott Associates, Inc. as assistant property manager. In this role, she will assist the senior property manager in the management of 15 commercial properties, as well as provide clerical support. Martin will coordinate facility maintenance and repair, monitor and provide resolution for tenant financial narratives, gross sales reports, and owner draws and help with the preparation of the annual budget.

August, 2008 - On Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm, Elliott Associates, Inc., in conjunction with SD Deacon, will host a "Tree ID Work Party" where employee volunteers from both companies will help add new identification signs to the multiple species of native Oregon trees located on the company's East Burnside campus.

July, 2008 - When the commercial real estate services firm, Elliott Associates, Inc., recently relocated to an outdated existing building at 901 NE Glisan St., the importance of maintaining a balance between sustainable and artistic commercial renovation was at the top of the list. The former Copeland Lumber Building lay vacant for over seven years before renovation began. The building was renovated reusing existing materials and sustainable natural products to help blend the barrier between the structure itself and then natural arboretum surrounding it. This attention to detail in the effort to go green had even the city of Portland taking notice when the building was distinguished with the City of Portland Sustainable Development G-Rated Certification for sustainable commercial renovation.

May, 1994 - Senior Property Manager, Esther Herring, received the Trustee's Distinguished Service Award from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) at the Annual Convention in Las Vegas. Esther has served as the State Director, Director of Governmental Affairs and Operation Chairperson for the Oregon chapter of ICSC. Esther previously earned the Senior Certified Shopping Center Manager (SCSM) designation from the ICSC and the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). Esther has been with Elliott Associates for over 25 years and continues as a property manager and mentor with the company.

The Portland Business Alliance has elected Leanne Johnston to participate in their prestigious nine-month Leadership Portland training program. Leadership Portland educates participants on the political, educational, cultural, historical and economic workings of the greater Portland area. The training will give Leanne the opportunity to hone her business and community leadership skills. Cap also previously earned the Certified Property Manager (CPM) from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from Building Owners and Management Association (BOMA) International.
